Having short hair makes me feel:
Powerful! and Sexy!
What made you decide to cut your hair?
I got to a point where I felt really strong and powerful within myself and felt I needed to reflect that on the outside. I’ve always felt like cutting my hair off would be freeing and really show people my true self. Plus all the hot ladies in my family have short hair and have been rocking it for decades!
My short hair icon is:
Grandma! & Tilda Swinton!
My favorite hair product is:
Lotion, wax, sweat – or anything that makes it a little dirty when it’s not – no ‘fros please!
If you could give one piece of advice to women considering short hair, what would it be?
Absolutely just do it! It’s just hair – it grows back! And you would be surprised at the way people respond differently to you. I’ve done this a few times and the last time I did it because I wanted to move up in my career and to be taken seriously – I literally got approached by my manager to become a supervisor the NEXT DAY! Crazy right? It shows a certain type of courage to be a lady with short hair!
